Watch: Video of Nikola Jokic joking around with Luka Doncic goes viral after Goran Dragic's farewell game

On Sunday, several NBA stars attended recently retired guard Goran Dragic's Night of the Dragon game in Slovenia, including Chris Bosh and Slovenian sensation Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks. Jokic, the league's MVP, and Doncic have a long history of friendship despite being arguably the two best players in the NBA. According to RP Salao of Larry Brown Sports, they were spotted sharing several lighthearted moments together during the festivities this weekend.

Jokic once threw water on Doncic while they were on the bench. The two were also teammates during the game. They made some entertaining plays on the court, such as a fast break attempt that was more of a slow break where neither player wanted to receive the ball.

Jokic also did something he rarely does in the NBA: throwing an alley-oop from the backboard and finishing with a dunk. Saturday's game was a reminder that while Doncic and Jokic are two of the NBA's fiercest rivals on the court, they also have a lighter side.

In addition to the players already mentioned, Dirk Nowitzki, Nikola Vicevic, Boban Marjanovic, Robin Lopez and Bogdan Bogdanovic were also present. Goran Dragic had a very successful NBA career. He played for the Miami Heat and the Phoenix Suns and helped the Heat reach the NBA Finals in 2020.

Doncic entered the 2018 NBA Draft and was selected third overall by the Atlanta Hawks. He later joined the Dallas Mavericks. He won the Rookie of the Year award for the 2018–19 season and was unanimously selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. Since his rookie season, he has been named to the NBA All-Star Game five consecutive times and to the All-NBA First Team five times.

He tops the NBA in scoring in the 2023-24 season, making history as the first European and second international player to do so. He led the Mavericks to their third NBA Finals appearance this season. In addition, Doncic leads the Mavericks in career triple-doubles and holds the record for most points scored by a Mavericks team in a season. Nikola Jokic, on the other hand, is already an NBA champion with the Denver Nuggets. They will start the new season with an Olympic bronze medal with the Serbian basketball team in his cabinet.
