  • Australian home price guide deemed ‘meaningless’

    A buyer's agent with 30 years of experience says home price guides have become “meaningless” and that under-offers – an illegal practice – have become widespread in the real estate market.

    Paul Mulligan told news.com.au he sees this practice “every day”, with real estate agents listing properties at a guide price well below the eventual sale price, often to generate a lot of interest.

    The publication spent two months analyzing the real estate market in central Sydney and found that homes were regularly selling for hundreds of thousands of dollars above the guide price.

  • Gallagher brothers want to announce Oasis formation after rumours circulate

    Is this really happening?!

    Oasis, Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher are set to make a new announcement following strong rumours that the iconic band will reunite after 15 years.

    A short video was posted on all three's social media accounts with the date August 27 and 8am. Assuming that's local time in the UK, that's 5pm (AEST) tomorrow.

    Earlier on the same day, Liam Gallagher tweeted that he had never liked the word “FORMER,” causing his fans to rage.

  • Qantas and Virgin warn of price violations

    The ACCC has fired a warning shot at Qantas and Virgin, saying it will keep a close eye on prices following the collapse of Bonza and the uncertain future of Rex.

    When Rex began flying between the capitals in 2021, prices on these routes fell by 25 percent.

    The consumer watchdog reiterated its close monitoring of Qantas and Virgin in a report on domestic airline competition published on Thursday after Rex filed for voluntary bankruptcy and canceled its city-to-city services.
