CARMERIA release new video for “A Thousand Winter Rains”

From the eerie mists of Australia's Blue Mountains, Carmeria combine the haunting sounds of dark symphonic metal with the lovesick energy of gothic rock. Their second album Tragédie D'amour is out now and to celebrate, Carmeria unveil the new video for their latest single “A Thousand Winter Rains”. This atmospheric and intense track explores themes of longing and grief, perfectly complemented by the striking imagery in the clip below, which showcases the band's dedication to exploring the more melancholic aspects of the human experience.

Singer and songwriter Jordan of Grae says, “The last three years have been a monumental journey through the highs of love and the valleys of loss, and reflecting on those experiences while writing and producing this album has been both haunting and beautiful. As a writer, Tragédie D'amour pushed me out of my comfort zone, and the result has been a series of wonderful lessons in songwriting and production, as well as a newfound appreciation for the wide range of emotions and experiences contained within the dichotomy of love and grief. I hope that those who listen to our record find comfort in knowing that they are not alone in their experiences – both the good and the bad.”

Since reforming in 2018, the band has been on a memorable warpath through the Australian music scene. Carmeria's debut album Advenae (2021) propelled the five-piece band to international success. In the summer of 2021/2022, the group embarked on their first nationwide tour, culminating with a sold-out show in their home capital Sydney. In the following years, the ensemble wrote and recorded music for their second effort, titled Tragédie D'amour, which consists of ten new songs and takes the band's sound more energetically towards gothic rock compared to its predecessor.
