Darshan's alleged video call from prison

BENGALURU: An alleged video clip from a Video call Arrest of murder accused Kannada actor DarshanA Rowdy SheeperAnd Dharma talking to a person is gone viral.
Prison authorities have taken the incident seriously and suspended seven prison officials, said state Home Minister G. Parameshwara.

The police suspect that the person who spoke to Darshan and Dharma is an anti-social element called Satya.
A senior official said they were trying to verify the authenticity of the video clip.
He said Sathya was the son of the rowdy Janardhan of Byadarahalli.

Sathya was also arrested a few months ago for attacking young people with a machete. He is currently out on bail.
It is said that Dharma made a video call with Sathya and passed the phone to Darshan. Darshan and Sathya are said to have had a conversation about her well-being. Later, in the video call, Dharma speaks to Sathya and ends the call.

Dharma is a rowdy of Banasawadi police station. He was arrested in the Karthikeyan murder case and is in judicial custody. Director General of Police (DGP) Malini Krishnamurthy has already formed a team to investigate the alleged video and the privileges granted to Darshan in the jail.

A total of 17 people, including Darshan and his friend Pavithra Gowda, are currently in judicial custody in connection with Renukaswamy's murder. Bengaluru Police Commissioner B. Dayananda had recently said that the police would submit the final report in the murder case to the court at the earliest after receiving the remaining forensic reports.
According to police sources, 33-year-old Renukaswamy, a fan of the actor, had sent obscene messages to Gowda, which infuriated Darshan and allegedly led to the fan's murder. His body was found near a stormwater drain adjacent to a flat in Sumanahalli on June 9.
Renukaswamy was allegedly beaten to death by Darshan, his girlfriend Pavithra Gowda and his helpers on June 8. On Saturday, the police had sought an extension of the accused's remand, saying they had to seize Darshan's clothes and shoes as they were important evidence.
Police initially believed that Darshan's clothes and shoes could be found either at his house in Rajarajeshwari Nagar or at Pavithra's residence in Kenchenahalli.
According to sources, Darshan told his interrogators that he had kept the clothes and shoes he was wearing on the day of the crime in his RR Nagar apartment, where police hoped to find Renukaswamy's blood stains.
