Reuters confirms death of team member in Kramatorsk

Ryan Evans, a security consultant, was part of a Reuters team staying at the Sapphire Hotel in the town of Kramatorsk in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk region on Saturday when it was hit by a missile, the news agency reported.

This can be seen from the agency's statement, reports Ukrinform, citing the Washington Post.

“We are urgently seeking further information about the attack, including in cooperation with the authorities in Kramatorsk, and we are supporting our colleagues and their families,” said the statement published by Reuters on X.

Two journalists are in hospital; one of them is being treated for serious injuries, the news agency reported. Three other team members are doing well and have managed to get to safety.
