“It's all my fault. Because of my negligence, everyone who cares about me is going through a difficult time. I will live my life in reflection and strive not to commit such misdeeds again,” he said.

“This incident has left a big stain on the precious memories I have with my [fellow BTS] members and our fans, and I have tarnished BTS's name. I am so painfully sorry for the harm I caused to the other members and our group that it is hard to put into words,” he added.

The “Daechwita” rapper also stated that he was “deeply reflecting on his actions” and reiterated his apology to his BTS colleagues and supporters.

“I am sorry that the [BTS] Members who have always believed in me are suffering because of me. And I am only too aware of the disappointment of the fans who have supported and cheered me on,” he said. “I am deeply [regret] my actions and [reflecting] every day with a heavy heart.”
