Fatal accidents in Brockton, Stoughton

BROCKTON — Throughout the last school year, groups of Brockton High School students caused chaos and damage at many nearby businesses across Belmont Street, according to several store managers. A new Starbucks is now open and plans to close the dining area between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. when BHS students get out of school.

A New Bedford pedestrian died Tuesday night after being struck by a delivery truck on North Quincy Street, an accident on the same street where another pedestrian was killed last year.

It's been nearly 10 years since Heather and Shane Craven unexpectedly lost their 2-year-old daughter Sydney. Shane still visits his daughter's grave at East Bridgewater Central Cemetery every day. Recently, Shane said, he noticed that the solar lights that illuminated Sydney's grave were missing. Heather later found out that the cemetery authorities had begun removing certain items from graves that did not comply with their bylaws.
