A video that recently went viral on social media has caught the public's attention. It shows a house being swallowed by the sea. The video, shared by Jason Hornung, shows a house collapsing in a bizarre manner on the coast of North Carolina in the US and ending up half-floating in the sea. This house is the seventh seaside house to fall victim to the flood in the last four years. The video has sparked widespread debate on social media, with many people arguing that this incident could have been prevented.

In the viral clip posted on Instagram, onlookers scream as the sea takes its toll. Within minutes, the structure beneath the house was destroyed. Half of the first floor of the house sank and floated in the sea.

According to reports, no one was in the house during the collapse and all bystanders were safe after the incident.

The video has been viewed around 1.7 million times. Under the viral video, people eagerly commented on the power of the ocean. Some said that the person behind the camera was witnessing climate change first hand. One user asked the man behind the camera why he didn't save the house but filmed it. Many questioned why someone would build a house so close to the coast.

Another user commented on this asking if there was a reason why this house wasn't proactively moved or demolished. In answering this question, Jason mentioned that it had only been demolished 3 days prior.

The second part of the video was also shared on Instagram and shows the structure moving further into the sea, leaving a trail of rubble and debris where it previously stood. With each new wave, the house is slowly being pulled further into the sea.
