One man is dead, another is in critical condition. According to police, someone followed him as he was leaving a party in Miami Gardens on Sunday and shot at the car, which also contained three small children.

Police arrived in the area of ​​183rd Street and 45th Avenue shortly after 9:30 p.m. Sunday after they said someone opened fire on the white Nissan, killing the driver and leaving the passenger in critical condition.

The three young children who were sitting in the back seat were unharmed in the shooting and have since been reunited with their families.

According to investigators, it was a targeted shot.

It is currently unclear whether police are looking for one or more shooters, but they believe it is possible that the shooting is related to gang crime.
