The film included interviews with the likes of Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and his “Fantasy” collaborator Mariah Carey, as well as close family and friends.

The documentary was directed by Sam and Jason Pollard and premiered on A&E on Sunday (August 25).

OBD's widow Icelene Jones said in a statement about the film: “I am so happy to have brought this documentary about my husband's life to the screen. … Like everyone in hip hop, I have missed his energy. This project has shown me that he is alive and well in all of our hearts.”

The rise and fall of Ol' Dirty Bastard are explored in the new podcast “ODB: A Son Unique”

The Wu-Tang Clan rapper (born Russell Jones) died of a drug overdose in 2004. He was 35 years old at the time.

In an interview with AllHipHopHis son Weather Park spoke about the role RZA played in his life after his father's death and how his presence helped him overcome life's challenges.

“I called RZA and asked him questions about all sorts of things, like meditation, thinking, breathing techniques, just things to keep my mental health in order,” he said. “As we both know, I lost my father. So without my father, I had to figure out a lot of things on my own, I would say.”

“But having a smart guy like RZA just there to talk to me has been a huge help in my life. I've just been able to keep a clear head even when I might be faced with things that the average New Yorker faces.”
