Man arrested and accused of shooting at car with child inside

According to police reports, a two-year-old was in the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

TOLEDO, Ohio – A person was arrested and charged after allegedly shooting at an occupied vehicle in downtown Toledo on Saturday.

According to a Toledo police report, officers responded to the 2600 block of Elm Street shortly after 2:30 p.m. Police found that the suspect, 20-year-old Tresean Woods, who knew the victims, had fired shots at a vehicle containing a 24-year-old and a 2-year-old.

According to court documents, Woods' shot shattered the vehicle's window as the driver drove away from his home. In the document, police said three witnesses saw Woods point the gun at the victim's car shortly before firing it.

None of the people in the vehicle were injured, police said.

Police arrested Woods and charged him with aggravated assault, a second-degree felony. Officers said they found several magazines and ammunition in Woods' home during a search.

A Toledo City Court judge set Woods' bail at $75,000.
