NEW BEDFORD, Massachusetts (WLNE) – A man suspected of an armed robbery in New Bedford is now also involved in a car theft in the city, according to New Bedford police.

Anthony Jalo, 21, was initially arrested for the August 4 murder of Aaron Britto, who was shot during a robbery.

Police have since linked Jalo to a car theft in New Bedford that occurred on August 14.

The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Boa Vista Tower, where the two victims were sitting in the vehicle.

They were approached by two masked men with firearms and ordered to get out of the car and leave their belongings in the car.

The suspects then entered the vehicle and fled the scene north on South Second Street.

The identity of the second suspect is still being determined and Jalo is in the custody of the Bristol County Sheriff's Office and is being held without bail.
