Accident on I-285 at Flat Shoals Road leaves at least two seriously injured

DEKALB COUNTY, Georgia. – A serious accident has blocked three lanes of Interstate 285 near Flat Shoals Road in DeKalb County.

Shortly after 3 p.m., SKYFOX 5 flew over the accident scene and spotted a vehicle under a semi-trailer and a truck with a trailer involved in the accident. Another minivan was also involved in the accident.

According to the DeKalb County Fire Department, two people had to be rescued from their vehicle. Both were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Another person suffered moderate injuries.

Three northbound lanes were closed.

The crash remains under investigation.
