Woman accused of climbing over zoo fence to pet tiger in viral video

Police have identified and charged a woman who is said to have jumped over a zoo fence to pet a tiger in a now-viral video … and police say she entered more than one dangerous restricted area.

In case you missed it… the internet was in an uproar last week after footage went viral of a woman climbing into a tiger enclosure at the Cohanzick Zoo in Bridgeton, New Jersey.

At the time, Bridgeton police were eager to find the perpetrator… because she had violated a city ordinance prohibiting climbing over or over zoo fences – and also violated common sense.

The authorities' investigations were quick, police said. Zyair Dennis was identified and charged with the violation…and the woman is allegedly a repeat offender.

According to Bridgeton Police, Dennis not only climbed into the tiger enclosure – where she was nearly bitten by the animal in the video above – but also entered a bear enclosure.

Due to Dennis' alleged antics, she was charged with trespassing and received two summonses for general misconduct.

The zoo intruder caught on camera can count herself lucky that her misbehavior did not have catastrophic consequences… even in captivity, the animals are still nature's most dangerous predators.
