Four arrested for drug offenses in Springdale

Antwaine Jackson was the focus of a “lengthy” investigation after police identified him as a “multi-pound methamphetamine dealer” in northwest Arkansas.

SPRINGDALE, Arkansas – A “lengthy drug investigation” led to the arrest of four people in Springdale on Aug. 23, according to a preliminary report.

Antwaine Jackson, 43, was at the center of the investigation after he was identified as a “dealer of several pounds of methamphetamine” in northwest Arkansas, the report said.

“During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Jackson's primary source of methamphetamine was in the central and southern parts of the state,” the report said.

Detectives reportedly began surveillance at Jackson's Springdale residence after receiving a tip that he would receive a shipment of meth on August 23.

Surveillance of Jackson's house

As investigators were watching Jackson's residence on Friday, they reportedly saw a black Jeep with a Little Rock-area license plate arrive. Jackson spoke briefly with the people in the vehicle, later identified as 50-year-old Shawn Williams and 32-year-old Marquesha Young, the report said.

Williams and Young left the area. Jackson followed them shortly after in a car and his wife, 30-year-old Win Sin, drove away in another car. The report states Sin's and Jackson's vehicles drove in tandem to a storage unit on Randall Wobbe Lane in Springdale.

Jackson is said to have been in an apartment for about two to three minutes. The report states that investigators saw him leave with a bag and a white box.

According to the documents, the vehicles drove back to Jackson's residence. The Jeep carrying Young and Williams also returned to the house.

Investigators approach the suspects

As investigators approached the residence, “the Jeep fled at a high rate of speed, left the roadway and traveled through residential areas,” the report states. Williams, who was reportedly driving the Jeep, crashed into a ditch. After the crash, Williams and Young fled on foot.

Investigators arrested Williams and Young and searched the crashed vehicle. Inside the vehicle, they reportedly found a drug ledger and 488 grams of marijuana. They also followed the trail Young fled on. On that trail, they reportedly found a blue backpack containing $5,762 in cash and another bag containing approximately 332 grams of marijuana.

At the same time, investigators ordered Jackson to step out of his vehicle. When he complied, he allegedly threw six hydrocodone pills under the car. At the time of his arrest, he had several cell phones and $1,369 on him, the report said.

At Jackson's apartment, Sin reportedly allowed investigators to search her vehicle. Investigators found approximately 4 pounds of meth and 4.71 grams of cocaine, the report said.

Detectives also searched the storage unit on Randall Wobbe Lane and found approximately 3.4 kilograms of marijuana.

Suspects detained in Washington County Jail

Shawn Williams, Antwaine Jackson, Marquesha Young and Win Sin were arrested on August 23. Jackson, Williams and Young are still being held in the Washington County Jail. Sin has been released.

When Antwaine was questioned in prison, he initially denied any involvement in the meth trade and said he knew nothing about the drugs found in Sin's car, according to the report. However, he eventually confessed.

“Jackson stated that he sold the methamphetamine at a rate of one to two pounds per week for several months, purchasing it for $1,700 per pound,” the report said.

He also allegedly admitted to meeting with Young. He said she gave him a bag of meth, which he placed in Sin's car, and he gave Young a bag of marijuana in return.
