Family confirms death of viral DJDredd

Police are investigating his death.

Viral Djdredd, a popular Louisiana DJ, has died, according to KSLA. The details of his death are unclear, but passersby discovered Viral Djdredd's body in the Red River on Wednesday and authorities found it the next day.

While the man was not named in initial reports, unnamed family members confirmed that he was Viral Djdredd, whose real name is Dominique Washington. According to the KSLA report, jet ski riders discovered the body of 38-year-old DJ at 6:20 p.m. on Wednesday. Authorities eventually found his remains near the Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City on Wednesday.

Many details – such as time, cause and place of death – are unknown, but authorities do not believe the cause of death was foul play. The investigation is ongoing.

New Beginnings Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church in Shreveport released a statement on Viral Djdredd’s death via Facebook (h/t The Shreveport Bossier Attorney). “It is with heavy hearts that we reach out to you this morning. Sadly, we announce the passing of our Dominique Washington,” the statement said. “We ask that you keep Sister Lisa Williams and her family, as well as the Washington family, in your prayers. We extend our sincere condolences to you during this time. Together, we are stronger.”

Viral Djdredd's death follows several concerning DJ deaths that have occurred around the world this year. DJ Mr. Cool was beaten to death in June, Liara Tsai was allegedly killed by her ex in June, Dippo died in a bar shooting in May, and Sean Lalla was found dead in a Caribbean Airbnb in February.
