Video: Brief thoughts on the injury to Seahawks OLB Uchenna Nwosu

The Seattle Seahawks will most likely not have pass rusher Uchenna Nwosu available for the start of the regular season. An MCL sprain suffered in the final preseason game against the Cleveland Browns will sideline Nwosu for 2-6 weeks, making him a candidate for the injured list.

If Nwosu is on the injured list, he will miss at least four games, and if not, the injury may not be as serious as feared. Still, the injury is a cause for concern for the Seahawks defense considering how bad it was last year when he tore his pectoral muscle and missed most of the season.

For the first time in many months (four months, apparently!), I put together a short video sharing my reaction and thoughts on the Nwosu injury, why this year is different, and which players and coaches will have to step in in his absence.

Check out the video below. It's under 10 minutes long, so timestamp markers aren't really necessary. However, I know I made a mistake when I said Jamie Sheriff was “too good not to risk getting through the waiver list” when I meant “too good to risk getting through the waiver list.” I'm not going to edit a single word out. This was a completely spontaneous thing, aside from having to re-shoot a lot of the video due to a phone call.

Anyway, have fun!
