Sarper rips out Shekinah's hair extensions in the middle of an argument

It's over for 90 Day Fiancé's Sarper and Shekinah.

In the episode of August 26, The other way, Sarper and Shekinah celebrated their birthday together, but their conversation quickly turned into an argument. When Sarper suggested buying a vanity and Shekinah declined the suggestion, she didn't realize that she had upset Sarper.

“She doesn't want it, she doesn't want anything,” he said on camera when they showed up at Shekinah's apartment at her request.

“He just wants what he wants and he feels like he might not get it, so he goes into a downward spiral,” she added, answering “no” when the crew asked her if she was OK.

“He ripped out my hair extensions and ripped the phone out of my hand and wouldn't give it back,” she then cried.

Sarper initially denied it and claimed he would not touch her, but eventually he told his side of the story on camera.

“Yes, I took the phone from her and yes, one of her extensions from here came out,” he explained. “I never hurt her. I never touch her.”

Disappointed that her birthday had ended this way, Sarper leaned back on the sofa while Shekinah packed up her things and headed for the door.

“Take care, Shekinah,” he said. “In your new life, in your new life in LA with your parties.”

“I will take much better care of myself than you,” Shekinah countered.

As she got into the car with the producers, she explained that Sarper had become angry because she had not been grateful enough to pay the high price when she had told him.

“He yelled at me in the car and said he had changed his whole life for me [and] what did I do? I did nothing for him,” she recalled. “He [said] “He had a good life before. He had a peaceful life. He was perfectly happy. And now look at his life.”

“So we got back into the house and he just kept screaming and started screaming louder and louder, then he came over, grabbed my phone and ripped out my hair extensions,” she continued.

She claimed he then told her he didn't know where her phone was, leading her to believe he hadn't taken it. “He tried to make me feel like I was going crazy,” she said. “Finally, he gave it back to me and said, 'Come here, baby, come here. It's our birthday. Let me hug you.' I just said, 'Don't touch me.' And so I started packing.”

Shekinah checked into a nearby hotel, crying with her dog by her side, thinking about how quickly the night had gone downhill.

“He said, 'If you leave, you'll never see me again,'” she recalled. “And I thought, 'That's the point.'”

She noted that her life had been “surreal” since arriving in Turkey and said she did not know how to feel about it ending this way.

“I feel a little numb at this point, like I just need to process what happened,” she said. “He kept saying, 'You've changed. You used to listen to me, now you don't listen to me.' And he said, 'I want the old Shekinah back that always listened to me in the beginning.'”

“I don't think I've changed. I think I use my voice more because I realize that certain things aren't OK,” she added. “He doesn't like being confronted or questioned or challenged at all.”
