Search for man caught on video peeping into girl's bathroom in Little Havana

MIAMI – A man caught on surveillance video peeking through a child's window in Little Havana has enraged the entire community.

The six-year-old girl's father shared a surveillance video of the suspect that infuriated him.

“I couldn’t work that day because I had to think about it,” said Jose Larreynagas.

His home surveillance cameras recorded a man standing outside Larreynaga's house Wednesday morning, staring through a window where Jose's daughter was getting dressed for school.

The video also showed the man touching himself.

“I'm shocked and nervous,” Larreynagas said. “(The suspect) should not be free. (He) should be in prison. I imagine he has family like us. He doesn't want this to happen to them.”

The family had no idea what was going on until a friend called, Larreynagas said. That friend thought the suspect was stealing tools, Larreynagas said. But when Jose checked the surveillance system, what he saw made him angry.

“I feel things because my daughter can't sleep in her room now,” Larreynagas said. “She doesn't really know what happened, but she's scared.”

Police need help identifying the suspect. He was seen driving away in a black Honda Civic.
