Fountain City man arrested for child pornography | Crimes and Courts

ALMA, Wis. (WXOW) – The Buffalo County Sheriff's Office said a Fountain City man was arrested for possession of child pornography.

Sheriff Mike Osmond said 37-year-old Staniel Neverdahl was arrested on Thursday, August 22nd.

He was taken into custody following a search warrant for his apartment.

The search followed an investigation by the sheriff's office, the state criminal investigation department and the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

When questioned by investigators, Neverdahl admitted to downloading images and videos of child pornography.

Neverdahl appeared in Buffalo County Circuit Court in Alma on Monday morning.

Judge Thomas W. Clark sentenced him to $10,000 bail.

Neverdahl remains in the Buffalo County Jail awaiting his next court date on September 4.
