BTC slips to $62,000, DOGS & NOT prices plummet

Cryptocurrency prices today, August 27: The broader market triggered a flood of concerns among investors today as the global cryptocurrency market capitalization declined by 1.83% to $2.21 trillion. Bitcoin price (BTC) fell to the $62,000 level in the last 24 hours, followed by Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP, which traded predominantly in the red.

In addition, the prices of TON-based DOGS and Notion (NOT) have plummeted today. However, the overall market volume recorded a 27.24% increase in value to $65.61 billion.

Today’s cryptocurrency prices raise concerns among investors

Bitcoin price today

The BTC price chart showed a loss of almost 2% in value and was trading at $62,954 today. The coin's 24-hour lows and highs were $62,685.82 and $64,227.81, respectively.

This plunge comes despite the fact that Bitcoin ETFs recorded $202.5 million worth of inflows through August 26, sparking speculation. Also, it is worth noting that BlackRock recently added significant BTC ETF holdings to its Strategic Global Bond Fund, underscoring the increasing institutional adoption of the flagship cryptocurrency.

Despite the above-mentioned bullish factors, BTC price is trading in the red today. However, the coin’s dominance increased by 0.05% to 56.31%, suggesting that altcoins are facing comparatively more pressure today.

Ethereum price today

ETH price is down 2% in the last 24 hours to hit $2,687. Its intraday lows and highs were $2,668.89 and $2,752.97, respectively.

According to data from Soso Value, US spot Ethereum ETFs recorded inflows worth $13.23 million as of August 26. The ETFs’ sluggish momentum is in line with the coin’s current price action.

Furthermore, a recent report from CoinGape Media highlights a significant ETH whale dump, confirming the current dip. However, speculations about an Ethereum price surge to $5,000 also persist, CoinGape analysis added.

Solana price today

Similar to the general cryptocurrency prices, SOL's price also fell by 1.5% over the past day to $158. Solana's 24-hour lows and highs were $155.88 and $161.91, respectively. The coin's 24-hour trading volume increased by 26% today to $2.53 billion. However, its market cap saw a decline to $73.77 billion.

XRP price today

At the same time, XRP price fell by 0.71% to trade at $0.5934 today. Its intraday lows and highs were recorded at $0.5804 and $0.5993, respectively.

Given the controversial nature of the Ripple-backed cryptocurrency and recent legal developments, an XRP documentary is set to be released on Amazon and Apple TV next November.

Meanwhile, the price of Dogecoin (DOGE) has fallen by almost 3% to $0.1056 in the last 24 hours. Similarly, the price of Shiba Inu (SHIB) has fallen by 3% to $0.00001466. This downward movement is in line with today's overall market trend.

Even the prices of Pepe Coin (PEPE), FLOKI and Dogwifhat (WIF) have plummeted by 1 to 7% today.

AKT price rose 11% to $3.01 today. The coin’s intraday lows and highs were $2.64 and $3.14, respectively.

3. Klaytn (KLAY)

KLAY price recorded a slight increase in value of 2% today to trade at $0.1748. The coin’s 24-hour lows and highs were $0.1654 and $0.1757, respectively.

4. Alliance for Artificial Superintelligence (FET)

FET price rose 2% to $1.47 in the last 24 hours. Its 24-hour lows and highs were $1.30 and $1.40, respectively.

3. World Coin (WLD)

WLD price is up 8% in the last 24 hours and is now trading at $1.70. The intraday lows and highs were $1.65 and $1.84 respectively.

4. SATS (1000 SATS)

The price of 1000SATS fell 9% today to $0.0003641. The 24-hour lows and highs are $0.0003555 and $0.0003986, respectively.

Additionally, the hourly charts sparked optimism among traders and investors and gave hope for today's cryptocurrency prices. BTC price increased by 0.23%, while ETH increased by 0.19% and SOL increased by 0.35%.
