Vehicle crashes into house in Lansing, causing gas leak

LANSING, Michigan – One person was hospitalized after a vehicle crashed into a home, causing a gas leak.

It happened on Monday, August 27, around 11:15 a.m. in the 500 block of South Pennsylvania.

The Lansing Fire Department told us that a vehicle drove into the home, including striking a gas meter, which officers could hear when they arrived on scene.

They were able to turn off the gas.

We were informed that there was a person in the vehicle and was taken to the hospital.

Gas was detected inside the house and successfully vented.

Lansing Police are currently investigating the incident.
