Woman arrested for allegedly stealing more than $50,000 from her employer

BATESVILLE, Ind. – A woman was arrested for allegedly stealing more than $50,000 from her employer, Indiana State Police said.

Jennifer Fullenkamp, 61, was taken into custody on Friday and is accused of theft and corrupt influence in business affairs.

Police said Fullenkamp's employer, Scheele Orthodontics, reported in 2023 that “a large number” of patient payments were “missing and unaccounted for.”

According to police, an investigation revealed that Fullenkamp allegedly stole money while working for the company.

According to police, she had been doing this for years.

“Their plan was to convince patients to pay for their services in cash in exchange for a discount on their bill,” police said. “Fullenkamp then stole the cash and altered the computer records to cover up the theft.”

Fullenkamp is being held in the Ripley County Jail.

Police did not say when she would appear in court.
