Des Moines man sentenced to prison for child pornography

THEY CALL WEST DES MOINES POLICE. A DES MOINES MAN WILL SERVE 35 YEARS IN FEDERAL PRISON FOR PRODUCING AND RECEIVING CHILD PORNOGRAPHY. IOWA'S SOUTHERN DISTRICT COURT SAYS 36-YEAR-OLD BRETT BAILEY SEXUALLY ABUSED A MINOR ON MULTIPLE TIMES AND CREATED CHILD PORNOGRAPHY FROM IT. Des Moines man sentenced to 35 years in prison for depicting child abuse

An Iowa man must spend 35 years in federal prison for producing and receiving child sexual abuse material.Iowa Southern District Court says Brett Bailey, 36, of Des Moines sexually abused a minor on multiple occasions and created child sexual abuse material.The court says Bailey also downloaded thousands of images and videos found on his electronic devices in October 2023.In addition to 35 years in prison, Bailey must pay restitution to 34 victims totaling more than $145,000.There is no parole in the federal court system.» Download the free KCCI app to get updates on the go: Apple | Google PlayGet the latest headlines from KCCI

An Iowa man has been sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for producing and receiving child sexual abuse material.

The Southern Iowa District Court says Brett Bailey, 36, of Des Moines sexually abused a minor on multiple occasions and created child sexual abuse material. The court says Bailey also downloaded thousands of images and videos he found on his electronic devices in October 2023.

In addition to his 35-year prison sentence, Bailey must pay restitution to 34 victims totaling over $145,000.

There is no parole in the federal court system.
