Red Lion man charged with attempted murder after stabbing

A Red Lion man is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing another man in the neck and cheek last Friday. Pennsylvania State Police report that 36-year-old Joel McWilliams was involved in a fight in the 300 block of First Avenue that escalated when McWilliams pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim. The victim, identified only as a 42-year-old man, is currently in stable condition at York Hospital. Pennsylvania State Police report that 36-year-old Joel McWilliams was involved in a fight in the 300 block of First Avenue that escalated when McWilliams pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim.

McWilliams is accused of:

  • Possession of an offensive weapon
  • Reckless endangerment of another person
  • Simple bodily harm
