LOWER MERION TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Lower Merion Township recently released their latest police report.

The incidents listed in the police report occurred between August 15 and 25.

25.August

  • Wallet Theft (Ardmore) – The victim reported that his wallet was stolen from his purse while shopping at a local supermarket. The victim reported that his purse was on top of a shopping cart and he discovered the missing items when he went to pay. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

  • Bicycle Theft (Bala Cynwyd) – The victim stated that his bicycle was stolen from the bike rack at his apartment complex within the past few weeks. The victim stated that the bicycle was secured with a lock at the time. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
  • Bicycle Theft (Ardmore) – The victim reported his bicycle was stolen from the porch of his home during the afternoon. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

23.August

  • Vehicle Theft (Bryn Mawr) – The victim reported his Subaru was stolen overnight from the parking lot in front of the residence. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
  • Burglary (Bryn Mawr) – The victim reported being awakened in the early morning hours to observe an actor pushing up the screen windows of the home. The victim waited until morning to report the incident to police. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
  • Theft (Bala Cynwyd) – The victim reported a package stolen from his porch after observing an actor enter his porch and take the package. The incident is under investigation.

22.August

  • Wallet Theft (Ardmore) – The victim reported that while shopping at a local grocery store, she was bumped into by a woman and that at the time her purse was lying open on top of a shopping cart. The victim stated that she received a fraud report and discovered that several items had been stolen from her wallet and purse. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

21 August

  • Theft from a Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – The victim reported that his unlocked Subaru was broken into and ransacked overnight while parked on the side of the road in front of his home. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
  • Robbery (Bala Cynwyd) – During a shoplifting incident, one of the cast members assaulted a security guard at a retail store. The cast members were arrested and taken into custody. The incident is under investigation.

  • Bicycle Theft (Ardmore) – The victim was late in reporting that his bicycle had been stolen from the porch of his home a week earlier. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

18.August

  • Theft from a Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – The victim reported that the rear window of his Nissan was smashed and a purse was stolen at a local convenience store. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

16.August

  • Vehicle Theft (Bala Cynwyd) – The victim reported his Jeep was stolen from the parking garage of his apartment complex overnight. Broken glass was found in the parking lot where the Jeep was secured. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
  • Theft from a Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – The victim reported that his Volvo was broken into and ransacked overnight while parked in the driveway of his home. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
  • Burglary (Ardmore) – The victim reported that his home under construction was burglarized sometime within the last three days. Force was observed on several windows and it is unknown if anything was stolen from the home. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

15.August

  • Theft from a Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – Officers responded to a report of several actors breaking into vehicles in the parking lot of an apartment complex. When they arrived, the actors fled on foot and one of the actors was arrested. It was discovered that a window of a Jeep had been smashed. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
  • Theft from Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – During the investigation of the above incident, a GMC was found with a broken driver side window. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Theft from a Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – During the investigation of the above incident, a Lexus was found with a broken driver's side window. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Theft from a Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – During the investigation of the above incident, a Toyota was found with a broken driver side window. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Theft from a Vehicle (Bala Cynwyd) – During the investigation of the above incident, an Audi was found with a broken driver side window. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Vehicle Theft (Penn Valley) – The victim reported his Chevrolet was stolen from the driveway of his home during the night. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were inside the vehicle. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
