Deadly GA robbery: Teen charged with murder after shooting four people

DALTON, GA — A 16-year-old is charged with four counts of murder in Whitfield County after a fatal shooting during an alleged robbery left three men and a teenager dead Saturday, authorities said.

The Whitfield County Sheriff's Office said at least two people from Rome carrying weapons and items intended for concealment met with 21-year-old David Antonio Delgadillo and 19-year-old Joshua Pedro Pelico-Pelico – both of Dalton – in Pleasant Grove Park to receive unspecified contraband.

Those from Rome concealed their identity and whereabouts, the authorities said.

For unknown reasons, shots were fired during the altercation at Pleasant Grove Drive Park, authorities said.

Delgadillo and Pelico, as well as 18-year-old Robert Valencia and 17-year-old Daniel Segura-Cruz of Rome, were killed in the shooting, authorities said.

Although authorities have not identified the 16-year-old believed to be connected to the fatal shooting, he has been charged with four counts of murder.
