Shock in Muzaffarpur: Woman kills boyfriend after he posted her explicit video in Bihar, 1 person arrested

Muzaffarpur, August 27: In a horrifying incident in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, a young woman named Lalita Kumari and her family have been accused of murdering her boyfriend Jay Prakash after he posted an explicit video of her. The gruesome crime took place on the night of August 13, when 23-year-old Prakash's throat was reportedly slit with a knife.

Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar reported that on August 21, police arrested a suspect who admitted that Kumari had staged the murder. According to Prakash's mother, Rambha Devi, the couple had been in a relationship for three years. Problems began when Prakash, who was working in Goa, saw another man on a video call with Kumari, leading to a heated argument and a subsequent threat to end their relationship. Kumari, her father, two brothers and others have been named as suspects. They have all fled their homes, but Kumari's cousin has been arrested. The murder was premeditated. Prakash was lured to a relative's house under the pretext of discussing marriage. Once there, he was reportedly attacked by Kumari's relatives and his body was dumped in a sack on the side of the road. Video footage shows the gruesome disposal of the body.

City SP Avadhesh Dixit stated that the main motive behind the murder was the leaked private video that triggered the deadly chain of events. The investigation is ongoing and the authorities have launched a hunt for the remaining suspects.
