Montway strengthens its commitment to the fight against hunger

Montway Auto Transport increases its commitment to the fight against hunger.

The third-party logistics company has increased its commitment to Move For Hunger and will provide 120,000 meals to communities in need in 2024. Montway said it has provided nearly 700,000 meals through various relief and food drives since it began working with the organization.

“Partnering with Move for Hunger aligns with our core values of compassion, integrity and community involvement,” said Lubo Lazaro, moving and auto transport manager at Montway, in a press release. “Through this collaboration, we aim to turn every move into an opportunity to help those in need and ensure that surplus food reaches hungry families.”

“Montway believes that everyone has a role to play in building stronger, healthier communities and encourages our customers, partners and employees to join us in supporting Move for Hunger’s important mission.”

Throughout June, Montway Auto Transport partnered with Move For Hunger and other sponsors on the fourth annual Move 2 Fight Hunger Challenge, bringing together more than 600 participants in a month-long challenge that provided more than 144,500 meals.

Founded in 2009 by Adam Lowy, Move For Hunger is supported by more than 1,200 moving companies, including many of the world's leading move management companies, and more than 3,000 multifamily housing complexes.

Move For Hunger has provided over 45 million pounds of food – the equivalent of more than 38 million meals – in the United States and Canada.

In addition to its support of Move For Hunger, Montway sponsors a series called “Moving Company of the Month,” which highlights a moving company that has gone above and beyond in the fight against hunger by raising awareness and encouraging others in the industry to join the cause.
