Keweenaw Co-Op to host job fair for new location in September

The Keweenaw Co-op has nearly 50 days until the grand opening of its Quincy Street location. To get everything ready for the community to visit the member-owned grocery store, the team needs to hire some new employees. In about a month, the Keweenaw Co-op will host a job fair to fill several positions in various grocery departments. The Keweenaw Co-op is looking to hire a baker, butcher, cashier, stocker, produce clerk, cooks, deli clerk, maintenance specialist and other positions. The job fair will offer four opportunities to meet managers and other department heads at the Portage Lake District Library and Michigan Works. Co-op employees can earn benefits such as paid vacation, a 401k retirement plan, health insurance and opportunities for training and career advancement. Walk-in applications are welcome, but the Co-op asks prospective employees to register with a job fair application.
