Lil Baby arrested in Las Vegas for gun possession

ATLANTA – Atlanta rapper Lil Baby was arrested Monday in Las Vegas on weapons charges, police said.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Jones, was arrested around 5 a.m. Monday morning in the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard.

He is accused of carrying a concealed weapon, which is a felony in Nevada.

Jones' attorney told 11Alive that he has a valid permit to carry a concealed weapon in Georgia.

“On his behalf, we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances of his arrest in Las Vegas,” attorneys Drew Findling and David Chesnoff said in a statement.

This isn't the first time Jones has gotten into legal trouble. He was previously arrested in Atlanta in 2019 for several traffic violations, including reckless driving. The 4PF rapper was also briefly arrested in Paris in 2021, along with NBA player James Harden, for allegedly having drugs on his person.
