Police – NBC 6 South Florida

A man and a woman were found dead in an apartment in Hialeah on Tuesday. It was a murder and suicide, police said.

Hialeah police said they were called to a domestic incident at 605 West 68th Street after a family member of the woman went to the apartment because she had not heard from her sister in days.

When the family member went to the front door and knocked, no one answered, but she heard a child inside and then called the police.

The officers had to force their way into the apartment. There they found a dead man and a dead woman. Their child, a three-year-old boy, was found unharmed, police said.

Neighbors told NBC6 that the man and woman were a couple.

Detectives were on site and investigating. Police said it was unclear when the incident occurred.

The child was taken to hospital as a precaution.
