Seahawks LB Trevis Gipson can't wait to get his career back on track

After one day of practice with the Seahawks, Gipson is already happy with how well he fits into the Seahawks' defense.

“When I see how we approach things and how we move forward, I think I'm going to fit perfectly into that scheme. I'm looking forward to it, I'm excited. You know, I've got an excellent front and defensive line and we've got experienced players, Dre'Mont Jones, we've got young guys, Byron Murphy II, we've got top and bottom players, so it's going to be exciting to be able to get involved and learn from young guys and older guys.”

He added: “I think what I like best is that they let their guys run. They're rough and physical, they play fast and disruptive. I think that suits me.”

And his first impression of head coach Mike Macdonald shows him that he is in the right place to thrive and succeed.

“Great guy, hard worker,” he said of Macdonald. “I can tell he doesn't give up under pressure, which is always what you want. Just from that perspective, you know you're not wasting your time. You're not just here playing the game, you're actually playing to win. I know the Seahawks provide that kind of atmosphere.”
