Police officer arrested for crazy reason at a Kenny Chesney show

Kenny Chesney has performed over 1,300 concerts in his career. Like most country artists, he started in bars and honky-tonks, then moved to arenas and finally stadiums.

One thing is certain: If you attend a show at Chesney Stadium, there will be enough police and security on site to help you if something goes wrong.

But something did go wrong for an off-duty cop… but he was the cause of it and his actions were the reason for it.

Police officer arrested at a Kenny Chesney show for the craziest reason

All this happened last weekend at a Kenny Chesney concert at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts.

There was a disturbance in the front row area of the show – known as the “pit” – and someone called the police to come to the pit at around 9:15 p.m. during the show.

Apparently a man had urinated on a woman's shoe in the stalls at the Chesney concert. The woman was busy with her own business, celebrating with friends to her favorite Chesney song, when she felt the dreaded warm stream on her leg.

The woman then turned around and saw Shane Lynch, a police officer from Cranston, Massachusetts, openly urinating on her foot.

While it must be noted that Lynch was off-duty, this certainly does not meet the standard that a police department expects of its own people, whether on or off duty.

To no one's surprise, Lynch was extremely drunk, having consumed far too many “beers in Mexico” at the Chesney show.

Cranston Police Department Chief Michael Winquist is undoubtedly in clean-up mode, giving a traditional blanket statement about the situation involving one of his people.

“We are aware of the arrest and will resolve the matter administratively,” the chief said.

One thing is certain: everyone in this situation is furious.
