Police raid in Granada Hills targets organised retail crime

LOS ANGELES – In the fight against organized crime, several police raids took place on Wednesday morning.

SkyFOX was located above a home in Granada Hills near San Fernando Mission Blvd. and Balboa Blvd. as police entered and exited the home and removed boxes of evidence.

There were search and arrest warrants in several locations this morning.

The raids were led by the LAPD, the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI, with task forces in Orange County and Ventura County also involved.

Authorities believe today's raid is targeting individuals who provide logistical support to burglary gangs, not just the criminals themselves but also those who support them in organized crime rings.

The U.S. Attorney and other law enforcement officials plan to announce developments related to the raids during a press conference at 10:30 a.m.
