Vincent Farm Primary School temporarily evacuated after leak

WHITE MARSH, MD — A school in White Marsh was temporarily evacuated Wednesday because of a water leak. No one was injured and classes resumed afterward.

Vincent Farm Elementary School discovered a leak in a classroom around 10 a.m.

“We evacuated the school building out of an abundance of caution and contacted the Baltimore County Fire Department (BCoFD),” said school principal Jamie Basignani in a letter to families. “The Baltimore County Fire Department responded to the message to the school and was able to determine that the fluid was coolant leaking from the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system.”

At 11:30 a.m. the firefighters gave the all-clear and were able to return to the building.

“I want to thank our students for their cooperation and for leaving the building quickly,” said Basignani. “This experience has shown how important it is to perform our drills regularly to keep everyone safe. I want to assure you that the safety of our students is our top priority.”

The school is located at 6019 Ebenezer Road, as shown on this map.
