Video of Lil Baby surfaced in Las Vegas, he is released on bail

On Monday (August 26), Lil Baby was arrested in Las Vegas for allegedly carrying a weapon without a permit. The Atlanta rapper, who was in town to perform at James Harden's birthday party, was taken to the Clark County Detention Center and held on $5,000 bail. He has now been released on bail and footage of the arrest has surfaced.

TMZ has obtained and released a clip showing the “Yes Indeed” rapper being arrested outside Encore Las Vegas. Lil Baby is seen in handcuffs and yelling to someone, “I need 200 bands. Call this number for me,” before repeatedly claiming that he has the proper license to carry the weapon and should not be arrested.

The outlet also provided an update from Lil Baby's attorneys on Tuesday (August 27). Drew Findling and David Chesnoff stated, “To be clear, Dominique Jones holds a valid Georgia concealed carry weapon (CCW) permit. On his behalf, we are actively investigating the facts and circumstances of his arrest in Las Vegas.”

TMZ also reported that authorities arrived because video captured the 29-year-old spitter being handed a gun at the venue.

Before this incident, Baby had better luck earlier this year. In June, he was named Songwriter of the Year at the 2024 ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.
