Man allegedly held a gun to a victim's head in Aiken County

AIKEN, SC (WRDW/WAGT) – A man was arrested in Aiken County after he put a gun to another man's head during a dispute over a bicycle, officials said.

Travis Deon Bibbs is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of cocaine (third offense).

The argument occurred on July 12 just before 8 p.m. on Greenland Drive outside of North Augusta, according to a report from Aiken County Sheriff's Office officials.

The victim said he and Bibbs had argued over ownership of a bicycle and the argument had become heated.

The victim said Bibbs punched him, causing a small cut on his left cheek.

He said Bibbs then pushed him to the ground, took a gun from him and put it to his head.

After police were called, Bibbs ran away on foot, according to officers.

According to jail records, Bibbs was arrested Saturday and booked into the Aiken County Jail.
