Steelers starting guard suffers possible serious injury – WPXI

PITTSBURGH — This article originally appeared on PittsburghSportsNOW.com.

The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a potentially serious injury during practice on Wednesday when left guard Isaac Seumalo left practice with what appeared to be a serious chest injury, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Seumalo had taken part in the part of the training open to the media before his apparent injury.

Chest injuries are serious for offensive linemen and can often be season-ending, but it doesn't look like that will be the case for Seumalo. Schefter reported that he won't miss the entire season, which likely means his pectoral muscle isn't torn, just strained. Steelers outside linebacker TJ Watt missed seven games when he suffered a chest injury in the 2022 season opener, and that was considered a best-case scenario at the time.
