PITTSBURGH – The man accused of shooting a man in the eye on the Parkway West appeared in court Wednesday.

After the hearing, victim Bob Long told Channel 11 he was very relieved knowing progress was being made in the case against the man accused of shooting him.

Weeks after the shooting in which he lost his eye, Long still wears an eye patch.

He lives in Indiana and was in Pittsburgh for work at the time of the shooting. Police say Rashawn Hall fired shots at Long's car as they drove onto the parkway.

In court, Hall's defense attorney argued that investigators could not physically determine that Hall was the driver of the car, even though it was registered to him.

A judge concluded that there was enough evidence to move the case forward.

Channel 11 spoke to Long a day after his suspected shooter was arrested.

“If I had known someone was coming from my left and I had turned around and looked, the bullet would have gone between my eyes and that would have been the end,” Long said.

We also learned that investigators believe there was another person in the car who has yet to be identified.
