MINNEAPOLIS – Minnesota will see a break from rain on Wednesday, but the calm weather will not last long.

The high in the Twin Cities will be 79 degrees. It will be partly cloudy and humid, with a northeast wind around 5-10 mph.

On Thursday it will be even wetter with maximum temperatures around 27 degrees. There is again a chance of thunderstorms, which are expected to arrive in the metropolis in the late afternoon and early evening. There is a low risk of severe weather (2 on a scale of 5).

Then we can expect a nice period of weather on Labor Day weekend. The sunshine will return in full force and we will be in good shape. The highest temperatures will be over 25 degrees on Friday, below 27 degrees on Saturday and below 25 to mid-25 degrees on Sunday and Monday.

Then we could experience a four to five day period of dry and sunny days.
