BALTIMORE – Howard County Police are Search for a “dangerous” suspect You believe shot 17-year-old Angelo Little on July 27 at the mall in Columbia, Howard County.

Police say 17-year-old William Marshall III of Columbia is wanted on first-degree murder and related charges. They believe Marshall, who goes by “Junior,” specifically targeted Little.

“He is a danger to the public,” said Howard County Police Chief Gregory Der. “We don't know where he is, and that's why it's extremely important that we get this out there so everyone knows what this person looks like.”

The Howard County Police Department released the identity and picture of the suspect, even though he was a minor.

“Although Maryland state law does not normally allow the identity of a juvenile suspect to be released, even if he is charged as an adult, an exception exists 'solely for the purpose of facilitating the apprehension of a child and ensuring public safety' when an arrest warrant is issued,” the department said. “Howard County Police are publicly identifying Marshall because his whereabouts remain unknown and he is considered a potential threat to the public due to the nature of his alleged crime.”

A video released earlier this month showed the suspected shooter runs through several corridors, including the mall's utility corridor.

According to the Howard County Public School System, Marshall is a student at Oakland Mills High School but has not attended school this year. Investigators believe he has left the immediate area.

A reward of $10,000 is being offered for information leading to Marshall's arrest.

Police say Marshall has a connection to Wicomico County and law enforcement officials there have been notified.

“He is dangerous, extremely dangerous, and I want to make sure that anyone in the community who sees him or knows him definitely comes forward to us,” Der said.

A mother's worst nightmare

Angelo Little's mother Sherell Wilson told WJZ that the murder of her son is a “bad dream from which I will never wake up.”

“They took that away from me,” Wilson said. “Everything that made me happy in life is now gone.”

Wilson said her son has been a good student and is looking forward to his upcoming senior year at Homewood Center in Ellicott City.

She hopes that a suspect will be arrested soon.

“The only way we can catch people doing bad things is if someone says something,” Wilson said.
