The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating after a threat was made on the Ponchatoula High School campus Wednesday.

According to TPSO, a vague shooting threat was reported to a police station Wednesday morning.

When law enforcement learned that the threat occurred in Tangipahoa Parish, the Sheriff's Office launched an investigation.

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office said it has been confirmed that there was never an immediate threat to the school and that all students and classes were safe during the police investigation.

The Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the source of the threat.
