4 injured after triad crash between bus and van

Adds he is no longer with the district. A woman is facing charges after four children were injured in a school bus crash. This happened yesterday afternoon in Guilford County. Troopers tell us this evening that Deborah Miller Cane failed to yield and turned left onto Huffine Mill Road, right in front of a school bus. Troopers say the school bus driver tried to swerve but ended up colliding with Miller Kane's van. Both vehicles left the road and the van overturned. Four children were in the van and both drivers sustained minor injuries. There were no children on the school bus at the time.

According to authorities, Deborah Miller-Kane was driving a Chevrolet van owned by Christlike Child Care Inc. on Flemingfield Road. Miller-Kane, 67, failed to yield the right of way and turned left onto Huffine Mill Road in front of a school bus operated by First Student Transportation.

The school attempted to avoid a collision with the van, but their attempt failed. Both vehicles veered left off the road and the van overturned.
