Firefighter's racist insults go viral on TikTok

A highway crash near Stockton, California, spiraled out of control when an Alameda County firefighter went on a racist tirade that the victim recorded on video and shared on TikTok.

The firefighter, whose identity is not publicly known, approached the driver's side window of another driver and called him a “stupid Mexican… damn Filipino.”

The firefighter expressed anger at the other driver, accusing him of driving at 60 miles per hour in the fast lane and then speeding while passing.

“You stupid Mexican. I don't know what you are. Filipino? I don't know what you are. What are you?”

As the conversation deteriorated, the other driver accused the firefighter of being a racist.

“I'm not a fucking racist. I'm a firefighter,” he replied… “You're late for your fucking $10 job, bitch.”

The Alameda County Fire Department confirmed that the firefighter worked for the fire department.

“The firefighter was off-duty at the time of the incident,” Alameda County Fire Chief William McDonald told ABC7. “It came to our attention that language was used during the conversation that was inconsistent with the values and standards we hold as an organization. Such behavior is not representative of us or the department or our values that we strive to embody every day.”

The East Bay Times reported that the cause of the accident was unclear.

CBS5 reported that the firefighter was off duty at the time and on unpaid administrative leave.
