Woman shot dead in Algonquin district, police said

A woman was shot in the Algonquin neighborhood, police said. According to LMPD, they were alerted to a shooting by a ShotSpotter call around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday. They responded to the 2300 block of W. Gaulbert Ave. and found a woman who had been shot. She died at the scene. Police said there are no known suspects. Homicide detectives are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A woman was shot in the Algonquin neighborhood, police said.

According to LMPD, they were alerted to a shooting by a ShotSpotter call around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday. They responded to the 2300 block of W. Gaulbert Ave. and found a woman who had been shot.

She died at the scene of the accident.

The police said there were no known suspects. The homicide squad is investigating.
