Armed car theft suspect arrested from Springfield, Nevada

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) — A man wanted by Springfield police has been arrested more than 2,500 miles from the city.

On Friday, a Springfield Police Department detective and a Massachusetts State Trooper arrested 22-year-old David Clarke at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas.

Clark, who had six warrants out of Springfield and Palmer district courts, was returned to Springfield Police Department where he was booked and booked.

Springfield police spokesman Ryan Walsh said Clark is accused of being involved in an armed carjacking in the area of ​​Merrimac Avenue and Nottingham Street in May 2023. “Clark is believed to have had a weapon during the incident, which involved the theft of a motorcycle during a carjacking,” he added.
