Suspects charged with violating firearms laws and endangering children appear in court

Two men in custody on suspicion of child endangerment after shots were fired in Coachella appeared for arraignment Thursday.

Frank Molina, 38, of Mecca, pleaded not guilty to charges of negligent discharge of a firearm and intentional child abuse, while Bernardo Moreno, 46, of Coachella, also pleaded not guilty to the latter charge.

The defendants must appear in court again on September 10 for a hearing on the settlement of the criminal case.
