During an appearance on Caresha Please, Megan was asked if she felt like black women were the least respected group in America. “Yeah, I feel like we're expected to be so strong and so damn tough all the time,” she replied. “I feel like sometimes people dehumanize us and we just don't get the same compassion from other people that other women do. We have to handle everything with dignity – like when we're going through something, we're not allowed to be loud. We're not allowed to be sad. We're not supposed to freak out, we're supposed to take whatever is thrown at us and always deal with it like Michelle Obama.”

The “Mamushi” talent also stressed the importance of the female rap unit in the same interview. “Nobody raps like nobody else, you know what I mean? We all have our own lane, and I think that's the beauty of us right now,” she said. “I feel like it's the fans more than anyone else – they keep it going more than the actual artist, and they trick the world into thinking it's something that's not happening.”
