Damon Wayans Jr. extends contract with CBS Studios and puts “Ten House” in the spotlight at CBS

EXCLUSIVE: CBS wants to expand its range of fire brigade dramas beyond the Californian capital Tierra del Fuego with the New York set Ten House. The Firehouse project, currently in development, hails from Two Shakes Entertainment, the production company of Damon Wayans Jr. and Kameron Tarlow, and CBS Studios, where the company has been based since its launch in 2018 and recently extended its first-look deal through May 2026.

Written by Pilar Golden, creator/executive producer of the upcoming Amazon Freevee series Beyond Black Beauty, Ten House is set in the iconic FDNY Ten House. It follows two newbies grappling with their legacy as children of 9/11 first responders while navigating budding feelings for each other, the highly trained but impressionable veterans of the firehouse, and the demands of emergency response in the ever-changing and ever-challenging city of New York.

Golden serves as executive producer along with Wayans Jr. and Tarlow of Two Shakes.

This is Golden's second television show sale this development season, alongside Drama Keats (working title) She is writing for NBC and executive producing the film for Universal TV along with Angela Bassett, Courtney B. Vance and Lynnette Ramirez of Bassett Vance Productions.

Golden's series writing credits include the CBS/CBS Studios drama Hawaii Five-0 and Max' gossip Girl Restart, CBS' God made me my friend and Crackle's The oathIt is represented by IAG and Sundust Management.

Two Shakes Entertainment produces CBS’ new fall comedy Poppa's Housewith Wayans Jr. and his father Damon Wayans in the leading roles, and is about to start filming the second season of the CBS game show Raid the cage. The company previously produced for CBS Studios Glamorous on Netflix with Kim Cattrall and Miss Benny.
